Digital twin ( bim) Premium hotel Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne.
To create a digital twin, BIMnD measured the Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne hotel in 3D and converted it to a 3D BIM in Revit.
We mapped the interior of the hotel with a SLAM-based mobile mapping system from NaVvis and the exterior plus immediate adjacent buildings with static 3D laser scanners from FARO Technologies.
We converted the measurement data a so-called pointcloud (millions of X,Y,Z coordinates) in combination with existing building drawings into a 3D model in Revit.
We enjoyed working on this beautiful assignment in our hometown of Eindhoven.
Fun facts about the Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne:
The name Cocagne refers to the land of Cocoon about which people said it was a paradise, or Cockaigne. In our opinion, the hotel's name is indeed quite accurate.
Sometimes as many as 100,000 guests stay at the Hotel per night. In fact, Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne has housed their own bee population on the roof. They use the honey in their own restaurants.
